The Knight-Swift 2025 Capitol Christmas Tree Haul
Knight-Swift Transportation, North America’s largest full truckload carrier, has been selected to transport the 2025 U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree. The Knight-Swift 2025 Capitol Christmas Tree haul kicks off the holiday season with a tree affectionately nicknamed Silver Belle. The tree will be harvested from the Carson Ranger District of the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest in Nevada before embarking on a 3,000-mile journey to Washington, D.C.
This annual holiday tradition—known as “The People’s Tree”—spans more than 50 years and brings festive celebrations to communities nationwide. Along the way, Silver Belle will stop at local events to spread holiday cheer and highlight the connection between America’s forests, people, and public lands.
Knight-Swift Chosen for Safety and Excellence
The Knight-Swift 2025 Capitol Christmas Tree haul was chosen as the 2025 hauler at the recommendation of Kenworth Truck Company, a long-time program sponsor, due to the carrier’s outstanding safety record and industry leadership.

Meet the Driver: Michael Porter
This year’s driver, Michael Porter, based out of Swift’s Phoenix, AZ terminal, brings seven years of experience and a reputation for professionalism. Having handled many oversized flatbed deliveries, Porter is proud to take on this historic trip.
“It’s truly an honor to represent Knight-Swift for such a historic trip,” he said. “I’m most excited to see the people at every stop — all the smiles and cheers.”
